Programme Overview

The Two-Year PGDM programme has been designed keeping in view the need to align the programme outcomes to the vision and mission of the institute, provide holistic development and employable skills to students and the suggestions and feedback collected from time-to-time from major recruiters, industry experts and alumni. The institute makes continuous efforts to keep the curriculum contemporary and relevant to the current business scenario both in terms of the courses offered and the pedagogical tools used. Important and major revisions in the curriculum are discussed both in the academic council and academic advisory board involving academicians and industry persons before implementing the changes.

Programme Educational Objectives(PEOs)

  • To provide students with a solid foundation in business and management fundamentals that instill problem solving ability.
  • To prepare students for successful careers with effective skills in communication, teamwork and professional conduct with values that meet the diversified needs of industry, academia, and research.
  • To train students in comprehending, analysing and developing solutions to real world business problems.
  • To promote awareness among students about issues of social relevance and ethics.
  • To inculcate in students, the ability to gain multi-disciplinary knowledge to meet the industry needs.
  • To develop self-learning ability in students by inculcating the philosophy to continuously learn, innovate and contribute to creation of new insights in the workplace and society at large.
  • To inculcate in students, the qualities of leadership, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

PGDM vs PGDM(General)

The PGDM course permits electives from any two Specializations whereas PGDM(General) facilitates choosing electives from the basket of offerings.
The courses are equivalent to MBA which is certified by Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
